South Donegal Schoolboys Under 16 League

09/11/08 -- Eany Celtic U16's 0-5 Copany Rovers U16's -- Ryan Kerrigan (2), Niall McGonigle, Gary McGrath, Steven Quinn -- Venue: Eany Park

The Cobras Under 16's won their penultimate league match with a convincing five-nil win away to Eany.

Ryan Kerrigan opened the scoring, picking the ball up 10 yards from the penalty area, dribbling the ball into the area, before sending a cracking left foot shot to the top corner of the net.

Niall McGonigle doubled the away sides advantage, before Gary McGrath slotted home from 12 yards to put the Cobras in complete control.

Two more goals from Ryan Kerrigan and Stephen Quinn had the match sewn up by half time.

Copany could even afford a missed second half penalty from Alan McGirr, but still ran out winners over an understrength Eany.

Copany play their last league game at home to Donegal, where a win puts them in contention for a Champions League place. Also the young Cobras are in the semi-final of the cup, where they are due to face Donegal again.
