Darren was voted Young Player of the Year for the 06/07 season, when he put in some wholehearted displays at left back for Copany. Darren is a very energetic player, and has carried on to put in some good performances last season. Darren has previously played at underage level for Copany.
Darren was again a regular starter for the Cobras in the 08/09 season, and he played in a number of positions, including center-midfield, center-back and left wing. On his sole appearance on the left wing, he netted a hat-trick in the away victory over Downtown United. However, it was from the left-back berth that he played the majority of the season, and he capped the season with an important assist for Copany's decisive fifth goal over Glenree in the promotion decider after a trademark dribble up the left flank.
