Creative midfielder Aaron Scott re-signed for the club in the summer of '07 following a number of seasons with Finn Harps, where he played in the Harps Ulster Senior League and U-21 side.
Aaron is a central midfield player with excellent game intellegence and received the Players' Player of the Year award in his first campaign back. Aaron was appointed club captain for the 08/09 season.
The 08/09 season was a memorable campaign for the very-local lad Aaron. After being appointed captain, he played a major part in Copanys promotion campaign, missing only one game in very understanding circumstances. In doing so, he became only the third Copany player to captain a promotion winning Copany senior side in the clubs 21 year Donegal Junior Football League history.
The purest footballer in the Copany side, an ankle injury sustained out in Arranmore impacted Aarons campaign, but he finished the campaign with a number of outstanding displays to emphasise why he is so highly rated in the current setup.
