Dunkineely secured a comfortable victory over Copany with a strong second half showing in Darney Park on Friday night.
The hosts came out all guns blazing, and had numerous chances in the opening ten minutes, but found Gary Ward, in the Copany goals, up to the task.
Gradually, the inexperienced Copany defense settled, and both youngsters Stephen Brady and Alan McGirr grew into the first half and were important figures at keeping Dunkineely at bay for the first half.
Dunkineely turned the screw in the second half, and hit four goals without reply, the best being a 35 yard free kick that flew into the top corner of the net.
Francie Johnston netted a consolation goal for Copany near the end, when he scored from the spot after he was adjudged to have been fouled in the box.
