A late winner from Gary McCafferty gave Copany their first win in six league matches against Bonagee United.
Copany eventually came out on top of this game but it could have easily gone either way. Bonagee started brighter in the opening ten minutes without creating any goal scoring chances. They did however take the lead after 15 minutes wehen the Copany keeper dropped a routine cross and Diego Rainey was on hand to tap into an empty net.
Copany got their first goal after 27 minutes when Thomas Given unselfishly rolled the ball across the six yard line for Eoghan Gorman to tap in at the back post. Copany went into the lead five minutes before the break when Aaron Scott slotted the ball under the keeper at the near post after good work down the right wing from Darryl Duncan and Eoghan Gorman.
Copany started the second half slowly just like the first half and Bonagee took full advantage by scoring two goals on 56 minutes and 72 minutes. The first was a good strike from outside the box by Ciaran O'Sullivan into the top corner. Diego Rainey got his second when he shot home from six yards after the Copany defence failed to clear their lines. Copany equalised again with fifteen minutes to go when Thomas Given got in behind the Bonagee defence.
The winner came with just two minutes on the clock. The ball came down the center to Thomas Given who sent it to Eoghan Gorman on the right wing who crossed to the back post for Gary McCafferty to head home.
