Copany Rovers dropped their first points of the season after a dull 0-0 draw away to a resolute Kerrykeel side.
In a game of few chances, Copany had plenty of possession but failed to sparkle in the final third of the pitch. Joe Gallagher had a quiet afternoon in the Copany nets and managed to keep his first clean sheet for Copany, behind a defense well marshalled by William Given, who had been a doubt for the game after picking up an eye injury in training.
Gary Harron signalled Copany intentions early on but his effort went over the bar. Copany came closest to opening the scoring on 33 minutes, when Thomas Given smashed the inside of the post with an effort from the edge of the area.
Glen Duncan also had a chance to score early in the second half for Copany but he couldn't find the target after good work down the flank by Paul Clarke.
The management team tried to freshen it up with the introduction of David Graham and Mark McCrea in the second half, but a stubborn Kerrykeel defense stood firm.
Copany's task was made all the more difficult when Thomas Given was harshly given a second yellow card after 70 minutes.
Aaron Scott was the man of the match for Copany, with a good team performance by Kerrykeel.
