Copany made their start to the League campaign a winning one with a derby victory over Letterbarrow in Tymen.
Paul Clarke opened the scoring for Copany with a well executed volley from the edge of the box on fifteen minutes after the 'keeper saved a shot from Thomas Given.
Copany doubled their advantage just after the half hour mark, when a Thomas Given effort was deflected into the net. This left Copany two goals up at half time.
Copany made it three-nil soon after the restart, when Paul Clarke headed the ball home from a Thomas Given cross.
Letterbarrow found some sort of a rythem after this, and pulled a goal back after sixty-five minutes when the left-winger fired home at the near post following a neat through ball.
Gary Harron sealed the win for Copany after 76 minutes when he fired home from outside the box. Gary neatly placed his effort into the bottom corner with his weaker foot.
Copany will be happy to have gained maximum points in their opener with a good team performance, and play their first home match next Sunday against Orchard United, who also gained an opening day victory with a three goal win against Cranford.
