Glenree came from 2-1 behind to win this encounter by the odd goal in five, in a game with a number of good goals.
The first half hour was a very evenly balanced affair, with Copany working hard all over the pitch, epitiomised most by the hard working wing displays of David Harron and Glen Harron, not allowing the hosts time to settle on the ball or create any meaningful rhythm, with both causing the Glenree full backs problems with their youthful energy.
Both Glen and David had half chances after getting behind the Glenree defense, but could not apply the finishing touches.
Glenree took the lead on 34 minutes, when a midfielder found space between the lines, turned and fired a rasper into the top corner.
Copany equalised on 39 minutes, when a quick flowing passing move found the ball up to hard working lone striker James Walsh, who played an expert through ball to Thomas Given, who clipped the ball over the advancing 'keeper for a fine team goal.
Gary Ward made a fine stop from point-blank range to leave the scores level at the end of the first half.
Copany took the lead on 50 minutes, when Aaron Scott picked up the ball in the center, and showed vision and technique to lob the 'keeper from close to the half way line.
Copany were perhaps guilty of dropping into a shell after this, and Glenree had the upper hand without causing too much problems until a corner kick was not fully cleared and a driven ball accross the box found a Glenree striker free to nod the ball into the net on 65 minutes.
James Walsh broke free of the Glenree defense shortly after and finished with aplomb, but play was called back rather debatably for offside.
On 71 minutes Glenree found what proved to be the winner when non-marking from a set piece let a Glenree player head emphatically home.
David Harron and Glen Harron were best for the Cobras, with Keith Clarke battling well on his debut and James Walsh putting in a good shift in the lone striking role.
