This encounter had no shortage of goals, lots of attacking play, clear chances and high drama that left for an entertaining spectacle at Killowen Park.
Copany got off to a dream start, when a David Graham free kick slid under the wall and into the corner of the net after 1 minute.
Copanys bright start continued, and Ryan Kerrigan was unfortunate to see his effort land on the roof of the net after getting behind the Keadue defense.
Copany doubled their advantage on 12 minutes, when David Graham played a one-two with Aaron Scott on halfway, before Graham powered his way into the box and finished with aplomb for his second.
Keadue went close through Cory Gallagher on 25 minutes, when he broke the offside trap, rounded a recovering defender, before finding his effort touched onto the crossbar by Gary Ward.
Copany went three up on 44 minutes, when a fine delivery from a Daryl Duncan free kick was met by the head of Thomas Given, who nodded into the corner of the net.
Aaron Scott should have scored when he headed wide of an open net at the start of the second half from a David Graham cross, but the home side went 4 nil up on 58 minutes, when a surging run down the right by Paul Clarke finished with a pin point cross onto the boot of Ryan Kerrigan who made no mistake from 8 yards.
Keadue, who although had numerous chances in the first half, had not played at their best, but the introduction of Adrian Hanlon sparked further life into the Dungloe men.
It was Hanlon who fed a terrific through ball onto Paddy Bonner, who finished expertly on 65 minutes. Keadue had lots of chances but found Gary Ward in good form in the Copany goals, but they grabbed a second on 76 minutes when Adrian Hanlon curled a free kick into the corner of the net.
On 84 minutes, Keadue had reduced the deficit to one goal with their third, when Hugh Boyle capitalised on a defensive error to prod the ball past the keeper.
With Keadue pushing for what would have been a remarkable comeback, they were hit on the sucker punch when Daryl Duncan fed a through ball to Ryan Kerrigan, who used his pace to get away from the Keadue defense, and tucked the ball into the corner of the net to seal a victory for a much relieved Copany side.
Daryl Duncan was best for the home side, and the elusive Paddy Bonner best for Keadue.
