Match Report
Copany Rovers suffered groundhog day once again after falling to the odd goal in three defeat to Cranford in a sunny Autumn afternoon at Killowen Park.

Copany started this game brightly with interim captain Paul Clarke in particular causing the Cranford defense problems with his drive and energy.

Both Cobras fullbacks - Damien O'Laughlin and Chris Doherty were making their first appearances of the season, and they can be happy with their personal displays.

William Given and Daryl Duncan also gave good performances in their new positions of holding midfield and central striker respectively.

Center back James Walsh opened the scoring on 20 minutes when he netted from close range after the 'keeper spilled a Paul Clarke corner.

Cranford began to control the game in the last fifteen minutes of the first half but struggled to create chances against a stubborn Copany defense.

Cranford signaled their intentions in the second half with a free kick smashing off the post, and they equalised on 62 minutes when Johnny Nelis bundled home after being first to react to a breaking ball from a corner.

Cranford took the lead on 69 minutes, with what proved to be the winner, when James McFadden broke the offside trap and clipped the ball cleverly over the advancing ‘keeper.

Good team effort by the home side, with Mick Logue causing problems with his energy when moved further up the pitch for Cranford.
