Match Report
A much improved Cobras side fought for a draw against Bonagee in Letterkenny.

Showing an altogether much better attitute and playing once more as a team, Copany started brightly and deservedly took the lead when Chris Doherty got on the end of a flick on by Paul Clarke, and scooped the ball over the line in an effort the home 'keeper will not want to revisit.

Bonagee got the equaliser on 36 minutes, when an uncharacteristic error from Graham Harron, who was practically faultless and particularly sharp otherwise, presented the Bonagee striker with an opportunity which he swept home into the top corner.

In the second period, the returning Thomas Given crashed a free kick off the bar, David Graham snatched at a chance when well placed following an expert through ball from Paul Clarke, before Stephen Doherty took matters into his own hands with a driving run from midfield and finish to the roof of the net to send Aaron Scott and the travelling Copany party into raptures on 65, and get a goal that his all-action midfield performance deserved.

Bonagee grabbed an equaliser for the second time following a corner kick 10 minutes later.

Copany then pushed again for the winner, with Thomas Given heading wide from six yards following a well worked free kick routine with Paul Clarke

Copany rode their luck in the final few minutes as Bonagee had two fantastic opportunities to grab the three points, but in the end held firm for a well earned point.

Stephen Doherty was Copanys best player on the day, with Thomas Given working hard and providing an aeriel presence before understandably tiring in his first appearance in two years, and Glen Duncan looking much more assured in his familiar position of full back.
