Copany welcomed Jerry Early’s high flying Islanders to this match played in the Lakeside Center in Ballyshannon where two well taken strikes from David Graham proved the difference between the sides.

Copany had the better of the first half, and David Graham put the home side ahead in the 5th minute when he got on the end of a deep Paul Clarke throw and lobbed the keeper from inside the area.

The Cobras doubled their advantage through the same source on 20 minutes. A Paul Clarke throw in down the left was met by David Graham, who sent a sumptuous first time half-volley from distance dipping over the Arranmore keeper.

Arranmore upped the tempo in the second half and really took the game to Copany. Copany had keeper Gary Ward to thank on 60 minutes when he made a fine stop from a long range stunner from Declan Proctor.

Arranmore had a penalty appeal turned down six minutes later as they pressed, but could not find a goal that their second half performance deserved, with Copany defending stubbornly to keep a clean sheet.

Michael McHugh was best for Arranmore, with Stephen Doherty and David Graham making a difference for the Cobras.
