Copany suffered defeat in their fourth pre-season outing after a defeat by the odd goal in three against Letterbarrow Celtic in Tymen on Wednesday night. Copany were afforded the luxury of being able to make wholesale changes, replacing the entire starting eleven before the end of the match, and they included debuts to Barry Farragher and John O'Sullivan, as well as a second senior appearance for Under 16 player Dale Duncan, brother of Darryl. Letterbarrow started much the brighter, and took the lead after 10 minutes following a defensive mix-up, and led by the single goal at half time. After 55 minutes Letterbarrow doubled their advantage following a speculative long range effort that deceived the Copany stopper. Darryl Duncan scored what proved to be a consolation goal for Copany on 65 minutes when he finished off the post. Darryl Duncan and Padraig Rooney were best for Copany on the night.
