A 7-a-side Over 35's football competition in aid of STOP (Suicide Teach Organise Prevent) was held on Saturday 21st August hosted by Copany Rovers F.C. Four teams - namely, O'Carolans Bar, JD Blinds, Green Valley Foods and The Coachhouse Bar - took part in the fundraiser from which over 500 Euro was raised. JD Blinds emerged the overall victors after defeating early competition pacesetters O'Carolans Bar in the Cup final, with The Coachhouse Bar the winners of the Shield final after defeating Green Valley Foods. Thanks to all who took part and assisted in organising the competition for this great cause. |
